ello and welcome to *Guy Davis Artworks*, where you can check out some of my illustration and comicwork while I try to catch up with the rest of the 21st century by putting it online. If this is your first glimpse of my art, then I hope you enjoy what you see and if you are already familiar with some of my work I hope you find some surprises inside — but either way I hope you check back to see what's new and what's coming up.


	EMERALD CITY COMICON! B.P.R.D. visits Seattle, WA March 4-6 I’ll be attending this months Emerald City Comicon in Seattle, WA along with the whole B.P.R.D. gang! Mike Mignola, John Arcudi, Dave Stewart and Scott Allie will all be on hand with a new FREE and exclusive B.P.R.D.: SEATTLE comic that will be given out at the show! I’ll be set up in artist alley at table spot M-03 next to Mike and the gang with original artwork for sale along with my portfolio on display and some Marquis freebies to hand out! Sorry, I won’t be taking any commissions at the show, but will be happy to sign books and chat! Also, there’s Saturday’s B.P.R.D. panel in Room 4C3-4, where they’ll be no shortage of exciting news about the series. The panel will also be a singular opportunity to hear the full creative force behind B.P.R.D. Hell On Earth discuss the book, chat with each other and field questions from fans. 	Guillermo del Toro NEW YORKER At the Mountains of Madness The current issue of the New Yorker has a wonderful profile of Guillermo del Toro talking about his films and monsters by Daniel Zalewski. Covering his recent work on The Hobbit, his Frankenstein project and also visiting the *Mountains of Madness* art team on our first day of design at James Cameron’s Lightstorm; where I worked last year on early Mountains of Madness conceptual design with a great team of artists (Wayne Barlowe, Peter Konig, Allen Williams, Keith Thompson and of course Guillermo!) 	GUY DAVIS ARTWORKS 2011! Happy New Year and Hello Tomorrow! 2010 was a wonderful and crazy year and I hope 2011 turns out to be the same with more B.P.R.D., the new Marquis and some other surprise projects in the works! 	MSU Comics Forum January 21-22, 2011 East Lansing, Michigan Convention season starts early this year, and I’ll be attending the Michigan State University COMICS FORUM 2011 on January 22. You can find me in the artist alley from 11am to 5pm in the Lookout! Gallery located on the 2nd floor of MSU Residential College of Arts and Humanities in East Lansing, MI. I’ll have a limited number of sketchbooks available along with B.P.R.D. and The Marquis books and my portfolio on display. 	At The Mountains of Madness October turned out to be a busy month of monsters and the macabre! Along with working on B.P.R.D. and the upcoming Marquis and the Midwife, I was away for a bit finishing up some early conceptual design for Guillermo Del Toro’s adaption of *H.P. Lovecraft’s* AT THE MOUNTAINS OF MADNESS film in Los Angeles with a great team of artists and designers. Hope to have more info on the project soon, but until then you can keep up with Guillermo’s upcoming projects over at the Del Toro Films website.

	B.P.R.D.: NEW WORLD #4 Reunited with some familiar faces! Trapped in a massive firefight with a horrific tentacled behemoth, the B.P.R.D. are rescued by another wild monster, while one agent chases the evil responsible for this chaos. 	PREDATORS DVD Motion Comics extra I did some motion comics for the new PREDATORS dvd, with Dave Stewart doing his usual color magic! Both of the comics I did art for, Cuchillo and Mombassa are featured on the Blu-Ray edition with only Mombassa as an extra on the standard DVD. 	Solomone Kane Vol. 2: Death’s Black Riders tpb Taking place after the events in Solomon Kane: The Castle of the Devil, but written to stand on its own, this new tale delves deep into the horrors scattered throughout Germany's Black Forest and adapts two of Robert E. Howard's most beloved Solomon Kane pieces. 	Famous Monsters #252 Nightbreed cover artwork! I didn’t read many comics growing up, but I loved getting Famous Monsters — so it was thrill to be asked to provide the new “Nightbreed” cover for the October issue (colored by the fiendishly talented Jeromy Cox!).

	Wonder Woman Day 2010! Original artwork for benefit auction The fifth annual Wonder Woman Day is at hand, as part of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Andy Mangels has organized a "Wonder Woman Day" event and auction each year to benefit domestic abuse shelters and crisis lines for woman and children in Portland and NJ. I’m happy to join a slew of artists and companies that donated drawings and merchandise for the auction. There's lots of wonderful art on display, so please check it out and bid or donate for a really good cause!

	Detroit FanFare Comicon Oct 30- 31, Deaborn Michigan I’ll be spending Halloween weekend at the launch of the new Detroit FanFare comic convention! I’ll be set up in artist alley with my portfolio on display along with sketchbooks, graphic novels and original artwork for sale. 	MySpace Dark Horse Presents Vol. 5 Solomon Kane reprinted! Out now is the new collection of the online Dark Horse Presents stories— including the 2 part Solomon Kane: “All the Damned Souls At Sea” written by Scott Allie, drawn by myself and colored by the Eisner winning Dave Stewart (congrats Dave!) I also got to do the art for the wrap around cover to this volume featuring Conan, The Guild, Jekyll and Hyde and slew of other great stories featured inside! 	GOREbook! I was asked to be part of the new GOREBOOK, a collection of 11 different artists drawing an illustration around the theme of “gore”— seems like something I’d like to do! 	HEROES CON 2010! June 4-6, Charlotte, NC I’ve been invited back to the upcoming Heroes Comicon in North Carolina this month, a nd I’m looking forward to returning to this great show! I’ll be there for all three days and have some preview artwork to upcoming projects in my portfolio, along with original art, TPB’s, and Marquis T-shirts for sale. I’ve also provided a new B.P.R.D. pinup for the program book (the original line art to be auctioned off at the show). On Saturday, June 5th at 4:30 pm I’ll also be on a panel with Ben Templesmith moderated by The Comics Reporter’s own Tom Spurgeon to talk about "Monsters and The Macabre in Comics"! 	Motor City Comic Con May 14-16, Novi MI It’s that time again! I’ll be setting up at the Motor City Comicon, I think I’ve done this show more than any other convention and look forward to coming back! I’ll be attending all three days (May 14-16) and will have B.P.R.D. tpbs, Marquis t-shirts and original artwork for sale along with some surprises and some new artwork on display in the portfolio. Sorry, I won’t be taking any commissions at the show, but will be happy to draw a free head sketch as long as it’s personalized. 	Skatepark Benefit Art Show! May 15th, Ann Arbor, MI The Ann Arbor Skatepark Steering Committee and Vault of Midnight (awesome comicstore) is hosting the 2nd Annual Skatepark Benefit Art Show on May 15 from 6-11pm. Contributing artists, including myself, Becky Cloonan, Rob Sato, Anders Nilsen, and a slew of others used skate board decks as a canvas for customizing with original artwork. All contributed decks will be put up for a live auction with 100% of the proceeds going to benefit Ann Arbor’s very own skatepark! 	El Gladiator Contre MANGO!!! I got to be part of a great team up of 38 artists, each providing one page of art to friend and Zombies That Ate the World collaborator, Jerry Frissen’s new Mango book based on his Lucha Libre series for Les Humanoïdes Associés! 	B.P.R.D.: War on Frogs TPB Vol. 12 ON SALE NOW! 	Anchor #7 Cover Art! Also this month, I provided an alternate cover for Phil Hester and Brian Churilla’s THE ANCHOR #7! The Anchor begins a one-man war on the forces of Hell to rescue an innocent from their clutches. It's a battle royale that can only end in a showdown with Satan himself. 	C2E2 Comicon April 16- 18, Chicago IL I'll be at the big new Chicago comicon this month, C2E2— which is looking to be a monster of a show! I’ll be set up in artist alley at table #D3 with sketchbooks, Marquis t-shirts and original artwork for sale along with some surprise freebies! I’ll also be signing at the Dark Horse booth ( #459 ) with Mike Mignola on Saturday April 17th starting at 4pm for a special half hour with surprises for all the members who joined the B.P.R.D.! And then from 4:30-5:30 PMfor all non-agents and convention attendees. So if you haven’t joined the B.P.R.D. team, here’s your chance! 	S.P.A.C.E. Comics Expo April 24-25, Columbus OH April is turning into the big convention month— after C2E2, I’ll be in Columbus, Ohio for the 11th annual S.P.A.C.E. 	Sandman Mystery Theatre Vol. 8 The Blackhawk and Return of the Scarlet Ghost! The latest collection of Sandman Mystery Theatre stories that I worked on for DC/Vertigo written by Steve Seagle and Matt Wagner comes out this month. Volume 8 collects "The Blackhawk" wonderfully drawn by Matt Smith and "The Return of the Scarlet Ghost" that I did the artwork for. 	JUDGE DREDD: OUTLAW 2000 AD Megazine #296 I got to draw a Judge Dredd short story, "Outlaw" in the new issue of 2000 AD's Megazine #296! Written by Rob Williams and colored by B.P.R.D. cohort Dave Stewart, the 10 page story finds Judge Dredd in the Cursed Earth dealing with muties, mountain monsters and a mysterious caretaker to a mutie settlement! On Sale March 31st, 2010.

	SFX COMIC HEROES Magazine! The first issue of the British COMIC HEROES Magazine (from SFX) is now on sale and contains an interview I did for the magazine along with a gallery of art from B.P.R.D., The Marquis, Judge Dredd and others!

	MSU Comics Forum March 26-27, MSU Campus I’ve been invited by the MSU Comics Forum to give this years keynote address at the Michigan State University in my neck of the woods Lansing, Michigan. Along with having some original artwork on display, I’ll be giving a digital presentation on comics and my work along with a Q&A on March 26 from 7-8:30pm at the RCAH Auditorium, Snyder/ Phillips Hall MSU Campus. On March 27, from 11-5pm in the LookOut! Gallery, 2nd Floor RCAH Phillips/Snyder Hall MSU Campus— I’ll also be setting up with other local comic creators in the artist alley. I’ll have my portfolio on display along with some art and sketchbooks for sale and I’m always happy to say hello and sketch for anyone stopping by to chat. Both events are FREE and open to the public, so if you’re in town stop by the show!

	Modern Masters Volume #24 “I call it ME-ite!” I was flattered to be the subject of the new Modern Masters book put out by TwoMorrows Publishing and onsale this week. Filled with art and sketches from my early days starting out with Quonto and The Realm, through current work on B.P.R.D. and The Marquis, Eric Nolen-Weathington talks to me at length about my career in comics over the years and hopefully I name drop horribly and tell a few entertaining stories along the way. 120 pages with 8 pages in full color!

	STAPLE! Independent Media Expo March 6, Austin TX 11am-7pm I've been invited down to this year's STAPLE! comicon in Austin, TX on March 6. I'll be there with Chris Schweizer, Andy Runton, Jason Neulander, Paul Maybury and lots of others from 11am-7pm. You can find me at Table #83 but I'll also be doing a Q&A from 12-1pm on Saturday. 	Toronto Cartoonist and Comicon Workshop Feb. 27-28, Toronto Canada Gladstone Hotel / Metro Convention Centre I’ve been invited by Art Originals and the Toronto Cartoonist Workshop to Canada for an art exhibition and presentation on storytelling. The 3 hour workshop is on Feb. 27 starting at 1pm and I’ll be discussing my career and also the process of creating a page from script to inks and storytelling steps involved. Later in the day I’ll be at the art exhibition from 7:30-11:30pm that will feature original artwork from B.P.R.D., Sandman Mystery Theatre, The Marquis and Zombies That Ate the World on display.
